Hero provides interpretation services to the Norwegian police

The Norwegian police shared services recently conducted a tender for interpretation services to all the twelve police districts in Norway. The competition is one of the largest in the Norwegian market in a long time and has an estimated value between NOK 100 and 140 million distributed over a four-year period.

Hero Tolk AS was chosen as the supplier in all 12 police districts. Hero is the largest supplier in the four largest districts in Oslo, Øst, Vest and Troms. In the other eight districts, we are the No. 2 supplier. This means that we will soon deliver interpreters to 225 police stations across the country.

“I am particularly pleased that we achieve the best quality results in all twelve districts,” says CEO Tor Brekke. “As a provider of interpreting services we need to make it easy for the client to get the best qualified interpreter for each task. We also have an important educational responsibility, especially for interpreters who do not have such high formal skills”.

“With this framework agreement, we can offer our interpreters exciting and well-paid assignments,” complements the head of skills development and recruitment, Carolina Fredriksen. – We have good experience with assignments for the police and justice sector since 2005. Now we look forward to getting started and getting to know new clients and interpreters, she concludes.
